How to maintain the Plasma Tunnel Welding Machine

Maintaining the service life of the Plasma Tunnel Welding Machine requires key component maintenance, system maintenance, and standardized operation. As a core component, the plasma gun head needs to clean the surface spatter after each welding, use special tools to disassemble the nozzle and electrode, check the electrode burnout, and replace it immediately when the taper wear exceeds 1/3 of the original size; when the nozzle aperture increases or grooves appear on the inner wall, it also needs to be replaced in time to avoid arc divergence affecting the welding quality. At the same time, regularly check the cooling water circuit (every 200 hours), use deionized water (conductivity <5μS/cm) to prevent scaling and clogging, and ensure that the working temperature of the gun head is maintained at 40-60℃.

For the welding power supply, clean the internal dust every month, use dry compressed air (pressure 0.4-0.6MPa) to blow the circuit board and heat sink to prevent dust accumulation from overheating the components; check the output voltage and current stability every six months, and calibrate when the deviation exceeds ±5%. The gas control system needs to check the air path sealing every week, replace the aging rubber seals, and ensure the stability of the ion gas and shielding gas flow (error <±2%).

In daily operation, strictly follow the order of ventilation first, arc starting later, arc breaking first, gas cutting later to avoid dry burning of electrodes; establish equipment operation files, record the replacement time and failure conditions of key components, and formulate preventive maintenance plans based on the cumulative operating hours, so as to effectively extend the overall service life of the equipment.
